Chris was singing with his eyes closed and a guitar in his hands, sitting behind the biggest tree present in the backyard.
Just like how he used to sing before but everything has changed with time.
He used to sing soft and romantic songs before, but now it has become sad ones.
He used to have Maya by his side whenever he would sing, now he's alone.
Both of them were so close yet so far.
His eyes used to be full of love, now they seem blank.
"You are the one who hurt me yet you act as if you are the miserable one here," she bitterly muttered.
"I am supposed to find out why he cheated on me, right?"
Maya started moving toward him.
"Chris!"
Chris's lips stopped singing, his fingers stopped moving yet his heart started racing.
"Maya, I must be hallucinating. There's no way she would want to see my face now that I have ruined her trust," he said closing his eyes and leaning on the tree.
