Chapter 16 - wreaked

The girls didn't sleep the whole night and it was about to dawn.

The darkness faded away, leaving the strongest orange color behind it.

The three of them were staring at the night sky with different thoughts in their minds.

The strongest orange started to fade away, leaving the duty of coloring the sky to his offspring, a mixture of orange and pink.

At this rate, the birds have also awake up and left their respective nest in search of food and the meaning behind their existence.

Just when the three girls thought that they will now see the yellowish form of the sun itself, spreading an orangish light everywhere but nature decided to play hide and seek with them.

Nature thought that hiding itself behind heavy layers of fog will kill the desire to know about it from its lover's heart before they end up knowing too much.

But it only seemed to make one more determined to know about nature. It only seemed to make one more eager to find the mystery behind it.

Just like how Maya was now determined to know the reason behind Chris's unfaithfulness.

Just like how Sarah was now determined to know more about the guy she has started to like.

Just like how Alora was now more than ready to face the problems that she will encounter in the future.

"How about we go out for a walk? It's not like we are going to sleep now anyway," Sarah said getting up.

"Well, you are wrong cause I am going to sleep now," Maya said hiding herself beg the thick layer of the comforter.

"As you should. I am not going to sleep now as I have to go to the cafe now. You can join me if you want. You will also get to walk," Alora said getting up.

After making Sarah and herself coffee, Alora went to change her dress.

She splashed water on her face and looked in the mirror.

"I know that it's exhausting. I know that you don't like working day and night. I know that you don't like waking up every day before the sun to go to the cafe. I know that you don't like forcing yourself to go to school. I know that you don't like staying up the whole night working on your small business."

She signed and splashed water on her face again.

"I know that you don't like getting only three hours of sleep every day. I know that you don't like any of it but believe me, you are going to thank yourself later. You are doing yourself a favor. Only till your small business grows big. I promise that soon you will get more sleep. I am so sorry. If possible then forgive me but you can't quit until you are successful enough."

That had been her daily routine.

The sensible yet cheerful girl also falls apart every day. The girl who's her friend's supporting system also needs to seek support somewhere. The 'I-am- find- &- happy' girl also sometimes just wants to be lost somewhere.

The strong girl who's a born fighter also misses her parents with whom she only got a little time.

The selfless girl also becomes a jealous girl when she sees someone with their parents.

Only this half-broken girl knows how many nights she cried herself to sleep.

How many nights did she pray that she was close to her parents?

How many nights she wished she could have another moment with her parents.

She felt so lonely. The inside of her stomach started twisting in a hurtful way. Her heart suddenly felt burdened.

She wanted to share her burden with someone else.

But putting on a blank face, she blocked every voice around her.

She again splashed water on her face.

This time she smiled in the mirror.

"Your smile is my strength. Never give up. You are the strongest girl I know. I am proud of you, Alora."

After freshening up and changing her clothes, she went outside.

They decided to first jog in the park.

While jogging, their eyes fall on a few teenagers relaxing, sitting around the fire. It looks like a bonfire. They seemed to be around thirteen or fourteen.

What caught their attention was the smiles printed on their young face making them look like the youthful and beautiful flowers that they were.

Lighthearted flowers without any concern of being crushed under someone's feet. No one present there looked dreadful. If anything, they were looking like they are having the most favorable moment of their lives, concurrently.

The flames were dancing in their melody without a care of the world. They seem to be their possessor.

Few were singing, few were playing games.

One guy was playing guitar with a dazzling smile printed on his face. He emerged to love playing guitar.

Everything was looking delightful but next to those lovely smiles, only the flame of the fire caught Alora's eyes, again.

Even observed a flame closely? It looks like a fast video, giving us about 10 different motions in 5 seconds. Beautiful but deathly. Provides us with fire for a better life and also can take our Life.

She brushed away her thoughts.

"I still remember when we were thirteen, I used to make excuses so that I wouldn't have to attend school that day and mum would always catch my lie. I hated waking up early in the morning, especially in the winter," Sarah said looking at the children.

"I remember but I wasn't as lazy as you. I used to wake up early. So that I could exercise for a little bit and get myself prepared for that day," Alora chuckled.

"Something you seem older than your age. Sometimes I forget that I am the older one here and you are the youngest one between us three. You sound so mature," Sarah said with a small smile plastered on her face.

"Huh, what can I do? God decided to leave two crackheads under my watch," Alora dramatically signed.

Sarah glared at Alora and Alora started running away for her dear life with Sarah behind her.

While running, Alora didn't notice and bumped into someone's chest.
