Mariela's POV
"What? Are you sure?" Valerie asked me after I told her about what Archer did.
"Yes, Mr. Moore told me Archer Lopez is the new owner of the building where my cafe is located, and he only gave all the tenants one month to vacate the place," I responded.
"He can't do that; you have a notarized contract of Lease," she responded while I could see the concern on her face.
We are having lunch at our favorite place since after Mr. Moore talked with me, I didn't feel at ease, and I knew I needed to speak with my best friend, and I felt glad she was not busy, and Valerie was able to find time to be with me.
"Yeah, unfortunately, my contract will expire next month, and I couldn't stop feeling so worried about what will happen to my cafe," I replied.
"That is my main branch and the most income-generating among all the cafes I had," I added as I slumped my back on the backrest of my chair.
"What is your plan now, Ella?" She asked.
