Chapter 78: make me a promise
Asher wanted to kick himself. He closed his eyes just to take away the shock expression he saw on her face but it didn't work.
"I just had to open my big mouth"
He went to the door to knock.
"Pepper, open the door please. I wasn't thinking"
"Wait, are you taking it back?" Pepper asked him from behind the door.
Pepper exhaled through her mouth. She was indeed freaking out and who wouldn't be in her shoes. A man who was supposed to be her fake husband just told her he was in love with her and now, he was taking it back.
"Wait! Are you taking it back?" She asked again.
"If I say yes will you open the door?" Asher asked her from the other side of the door.
"No" Pepper stood up immediately and opened the door. "You can't say stuff like that if you plan to take it back, Jerkface"
Asher rubbed his forehead before he took a step back.
