Elian looked at Lucian enter the tribune. He looked ahead at all the spectators filling the massive stadium. He is angrier at Lucian than he was before. He's the youngest, yet everything is always about him.
His father doesn't love him half as much as he loves Lucian and even if Arabella acts like a mother to him, he knows she doesn't love him. She just pretends to care for him and sees him as an aberration.
He would've preferred to live within their palace with his mother than with them, but she passed. Arabella has been raising him since he was 10 years old. His mother did everything in her power to give him a good life.
She knew that becoming one of the king's concubines would pay off, that is until his father decided to abolish that old tradition, and only be with Arabella. His mother fell ill shortly after, probably due to stress.
