As soon as the court ended Eden went to the emperor's imperial study. Once a guard let Yecheng know Eden was let in. He looked at Yecheng who was sitting behind his desk writing a brush in his hand and next to it an inkstone. Eden said:
"Your majesty I was wondering if it would be okay if I was late to the banquet celebrating the spring festival?"
Yecheng narrowed his eyes at Eden but he didn't react. He stood up and walked to him.
He asked after wrapping his hands around his waist:
"What did you call me?"
Eden circled his neck and said with a smile:
"Your majesty."
Yecheng smiled, this warm majesty was the same Eden gave him when they were in court while before it was cold. He pulled him closer and said:
"I prefer when you call me Gege."
"I know but I can't exactly call you that when we are surrounded."
Yecheng thought and said:
"Call me Gege all the time except when we are in court."
