"What do you mean you forgot?" Matthew could not help his brows knitting together with his wife's answer.
The secretary of his wife's doctor called him because Lilly Rose missed her doctor's appointment. Apparently, today was an important day with her counselor but Lilly Rose didn't show up.
He watched his wife eat her breakfast as if she was not hearing anything.
"Lilly?" He called her attention and she exhaled a breath of annoyance and he could not help the growing irritation in his chest. He made it a point to have breakfast with her since the incident happened because he didn't want her to feel alone but nowadays, Lilly Rose has been acting up and he didn't know why.
She's always irritated and her mind is always elsewhere.
"What?" She grumbled. "Can we just eat? I have to hurry because I have an early class," she said.
