She stretched her thin arms over her head, as she glanced to her right side and saw her alarm clock, sitting quietly next to the vase of flowers that her husband had given her. The corner of her lips was lifted into a bright smile.
She had woken ahead of her alarm. Something that barely happened for she loves sleeping in, especially when she had a tiring day the day before. She inhaled deeply the damp temperature of her room due to the cold air of the air-conditioner.
She rolled her neck from left to right before finally kicking her blanket off her feet and rolling out of her bed. In her parents' house, she would just leave her unmade bed for the maid to fix. But here, in her husband's house, she tried to work on her habits. She no longer left her bed unmade in the morning. She made sure that before going to the bathroom to do her morning business, her bed was stretched tight, clean, and smooth out to perfection.
