"Why look for another exit when you're right in front of one?" Matthew asked in a cold tone as soon as he entered the automatic sliding door of Florence—the high-end boutique where his wife was doing a part-time job.
His chest was squeezed painfully in his chest when he saw Lilly Rose jump up on her feet and went rigidly cold. Her eyes shifted guiltily to the security guard who lied for her.
He looked at the security guard who met his accusing eyes with a silent apology and he could not help but felt pity for the old man. He knew that it was almost impossible to say no to his beautiful wife. Who could really refuse her especially when she pouted her lips and her lower lip was trembling, trying her best to keep her pride by not giving in to her emotions. She was doing her best to keep a brave front.
