Matthew exhaled a big breath when he entered the driveway. He was wondering if his wife was already in bed or if she was waiting for him.
"Huh! You'd be lucky if she even spare a single thought about you," he said under his breath, mocking himself.
He could mock himself out loud as he was alone inside his car. He could express his thoughts without barrier for not one of his secretaries or driver was with him. He had told William he wanted to drive himself home for he needed time to think.
William in his wisdom gained from watching him grow up and then, working for him, did not ask why he needed the time to be alone.
Now seeing the front door of his house, he was full of dread and apprehension. He had no idea on how to proceed with his plans. No wonder Markus was laughing at him for he had been acting like a coward since he had met his wife.
"The woman is yours, Matthew. All you have to do is claim her."
