"What happened to you? What's with that face?"
Pete fired her questions the moment she got in the passenger seat. She had stopped sitting on the passenger but now, she got into the passenger that put a crease in between his brows. Not to mention that she got out of the house earlier than usual.
Lilly didn't answer Pete's question. She buckled her seatbelt and pulled out her book from her backpack.
"You're really going to do that?" He asked as he pulled away from the driveway. From the corner of his eyes, he saw Matthew standing on the doorframe, watching them drive off.
"Your husband is being creepy nowadays."
Lilly put down her book. "What do you mean?" She didn't like the word that Pete used to describe Matthew.
"Didn't you see your husband watching us drive off?"
