He read the message over and over again. 'Ah like father like the son,' he curses Eric in his mind. 'At least there should be an explanation for the termination, right?' 'Did he not ask me earlier to assess the CEO? why the sudden change of plans?' He had yet to finish his first task, and his Boss had already changed his mind. How annoying. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do. The Boss hated being questioned. So he could only complain in his head.
He frowns his brows before passing his phone to his colleagues to see the new instructions from their Boss.
Olivia was quite excited to see the new instruction. They were there to sign the collaboration for the meeting since the company wanted to keep an eye on Stem.
But she hated the idea ever since she found out that the CEO was a beautiful woman. She had her eyes on Eric, and she had been doing everything to get his attention, but the man was cold-hearted and would not even spare her a glance.
No woman would admit that another woman was prettier than them, but Olivia was sure that Emily was like a goddess; her beauty could not be compared with hers. She noticed her colleagues checking her out earlier. Emily was not dressed to attract a man; in fact, Emily looked conservative yet very attractive.

Jerry and Matt's jaws dropped open. They were indeed asked to cancel the collaboration, but they felt Olivia was very rude and unprofessional to have spat it out like that. Will it not make them seem like some joke? Even if Stem was not on the same level as ABM, acting in such a manner did not speak well of the company; it was simply unprofessional.
Emily was shocked, but she masked her expression perfectly. She has somehow expected this to happen. What annoyed her was how Olivia spat the words at her. Could they not apply simple courtesy and professionally inform her. At least allow her to finish her presentation.
Emily shakes her head. 'Why am I even annoyed? For a company whose leader is capable of killing an entire family in the name of business, having donkey heads as managers should not be a surprise, right? After all, they can always use under-table methods to get what they want,' Emily thought.
The hall was quiet for about a minute. Even Olivia realized that she acted wrongly, but she was too proud to apologize. After all, the CEO of Stem was not on the same level as theirs. In her opinion, there was nothing Emily could do or say that would affect her or ABM. She forgot she was just a manager, and she could quickly get fired.
"Well, in that case, I will take my leave," Emily said while eyeing Kevin to pick up their things. The way she acted calmly without asking any questions or complaining about their behaviour scared the people in the room. Olivia felt that a knife was hanging on her neck for an unknown reason, causing her throat to feel dry.
An average person should demand an explanation and throw a little tantrum. After all, she travelled halfway across the world for this collaboration. Now she just accepted the termination without questioning the reason. 'Was she so confident of her products or just egotistic,' Olivia wondered within herself. "maybe she was just a stupid spoiled brat," Olivia thought of the possibility. The last option seems more convincing to Olivia; after all, over the previous five years, someone has been running the company on her behalf, Olivia concluded.
Emily walked out of the hall into the elevator. She was so pissed that her anger was suffocating Kevin, who was in the elevator. He admires how she handles the situation there. In his opinion, ABM only invited them today to humiliate them. After all, Stem was now being referred to as a little giant, and it will not be a surprise that the so call collaboration was just a way ABM planned to use to show them their place. Nevertheless, he was delighted that she walked out a confident woman. After all, project Nabot was an excellent project, and many people were willing to invest in it.
But for an unknown reason to him, Emily has chosen to work with only ABM. She even came back to the country at their request.
Emily, on the other hand, was angry at herself. She should have acted like a spoiled brat today, not show them her actual ability.
"Ah, what a waste," Emily thought. She was trying to impress those donkey cheats. Emily sighed. She could not wait to destroy the Browns alongside ABM. She felt very insulted because of the way Olivia spoke to her. But then, over the years, she has learned not to act impulsively. She made a mental note to deal with Olivia when an opportunity presented itself, but she had no plans to go seeking one. Olivia was not worth it, in her opinion.

She heard the sound of the elevator. Without looking or giving it much thought, she stepped out of the elevator and bumped into someone. Fortunately, the person was standing properly; otherwise, they would have both crushed on the floors.
"I am sorry," she said while cursing her luck in her head. Could the day get any worse? She asked herself before she decided to look at the person she bumped into?
Her heart missed a beat when her Grey eyes, which were now looking brown because of the contact lenses she was wearing, looked into the sea-blue eyes of the person standing in front of her.
