We made it back to Yahoma and noticed the city in shambles for the most part. The Fallen had completely taken over and monsters were scouting every corner to make sure no human survived their attack.
I got off Misua's back and helped Orimi off then Misua disappeared. I walked forward and looked around. Orimi stuck close to me and held onto my sleeve as we walked around the ruined city.
"Yahoma...it's all gone...Mom and her friends lived here. How could Yoshida allow something like this to happen..? How could he do something like this..?" Orimi said and looked around the city.
I stopped and looked at the pile of bodies and noticed a woman sitting on the top of the bodies. She gave a devilish grin and looked at me.
Orimi looked at the woman too. "Bachiko...Where's Mama?! And Himeko and Namiyo and Ochiyo?!"
"I don't know. They were able to escape because of a woman named Yusa. That woman gave us a run for our money alone. She's a treat for sure, but at the end of the day...it doesn't matter." Bachiko answered and hopped down the pile of bodies. She summoned her naginata then walked towards us. "You'll be joining these bodies."
Bachiko dashed towards us and laughed. I summoned my Key of the Skies and my Saiketsu then dashed towards Bachiko. I dodged her first attack then kicked her away then threw my Saiketsu at her. She deflected it and I teleported to my sword then turned into lightning then began to strike her faster than she could see. Bachiko grunted and groaned as she was kicked away.
I reappeared in front of Orimi then walked forward. "I'll never forgive you for killing so many families. All they wanted to do was live! They had nothing to do with this!"
Bachiko chuckled then created clones of herself. "I see...Do you think you have enough strength to defeat me?"
"More than enough." I said then dashed to her.
Bachiko laughed then looked serious and snapped her fingers. "Die."
She manipulated my gravity and made me float in the air. Her clones dashed to me and jumped up then began to stab me multiple times. I groaned and tried to move, but I had no control over my movements.
Orimi looked at me with hide eyes then looked serious. She dashed ahead and manipulated the ground and made it rise. She jumped to the clones and used the wind to form a blade then slashed at each of them, making them disappear. Orimi snapped her fingers and my gravity returned to normal then she caught me.
"This is the reason Yoshida calls you a weaker link. You spend your time caring about the very humans who did us wrong. Spend time caring about the humans who killed monsters for a living. Do you think they care about you?! They don't care about us at all!" Bachiko glared at Orika.
Orika set me down after seeing my wounds had healed from her healing abilities. "The humans did care. Mama, Himeko, Ochiyo, and Namiyo! They cared! Yan Mei, Mae, Mina, Keishi, Nana! They cared! Yoshida and I are half human! We cared about the monsters! Melody is half human! She cared about you! So many cared and yet you and Brother still want to destroy Earth?!"
Bachiko smirked and closed her eyes. "You truly are a gullible bitch. Such naivety. Such...Uselessness. You realize the only reason he even had sex with you was because it would only calm your monster aura. You think he has any romantic feelings for you? His goal was to become the Ultimate Being the moment he knew it was needed and he's become the Monster beyond Monsters while you...you're still in phase one."
I looked at Orimi then stepped forward. "At least she knows what a human heart feels like."
Bachiko opened her eyes and looked at me. "Excuse me?"
"You're just a monster with a human disguise. You're a monster with human skin. You have no idea what the human heart feels like." I said.
"I'm going to take you for as an uneducated fucker and tell you that, I used to be human just like you-"
"Yeah fuck all that. The takeaway here is that you're no longer human. You no longer know how a human feels. How those families you slaughtered felt. Orimi here understands and has empathy. She still has her humanity and humility. This Yoshida guy sounds like he no longer has that and he must be stopped." I said as I interrupted Bachiko's monologue.
Bachiko looked at me and smirked. "Alright. I hear you, but it won't change the fact that you're going to die by my hands!"
Bachiko dashed towards me. I looked at her then my eyes shined. We slashed at each other then clashed multiple times. She pushed me away with the force of gravity then stopped time and dashed towards me. She laughed then went for a stab at me only to see it phased through me. She looked a bit surprised and looked around. She was hit with a barrage of hidden slashes and grunted, stumbling backwards.
She resumed time then looked around again. "Come out of hiding, coward!"
I appeared beside her and cut her cheek with my katana then vanished again. She grunted then looked around herself. I appeared again beside her then cut her arm and leg then vanished. She hissed a bit then became agitated. She bellowed and unleashed a repulsive force of energy around her body. I used my Raijin Shield to block the attack and slid backwards.
I smirked and looked at Bachiko then made my Raijin Shield disappear. "What's the matter..? Can't hit something you can't keep up with?"
"She's really faster than Bachiko...I thought that would be impossible for anyone other than Yoshida." Orimi said, looking surprised.
I dashed towards Bachiko and she slowed my time down, causing me to run in slow motion.
"Tempus Infinitum! Erase!" She said then snapped her fingers and a giant clock appeared behind her. The clock sent a massive beam of energy at me.
I began to slowly cloak myself in my multicolored lightning then my eyes shined. I managed to move faster than the beam and appeared behind Bachiko. She looked surprised then I spun around and struck her with a lariat attack. She grunted loudly and was blown away into a building.
A man watched Bachiko crash through a building and crossed his arms. He jumped off the building and used the wind to land gently on the ground. Bachiko grunted lightly and stood up. She looked at the man and looked surprised.
"Yoshida.." She said.
I looked at the man and noticed he had black hair, purple eyes, black horns on the side of his head that curved forward and a halo over his head. He wore black armor with a red symbol on his chest, had a black sword at his waste and purple aura flowing around his body.
"Brother.." Orimi said.
"Look around you human. This is the Era of Monsters. The Era of Extinction for you humans. For long enough we've suffered. Apeiron has caused us torment, and humans and Monsters had a common enemy. Lilith and Thalamel have been planning the extinction of humans since the beginning and I would have helped them do it...but I don't want them to repeat history. I killed them all, they all fell by mine and Bachiko's hands." Yoshida said.
"Brother, what about Mama, Himeko, Namiyo, Ochiyo! Yan Mei and Mae! Mina and Keishi! Nana! What about all of them? Do you no longer care about them?!" Orimi asked.
"The question is, do you no longer care about us?" Yoshida asked.
"I do, but we are half human as well! We can help the monsters and humans! Fallan is our real enemy! She has to be stopped! She's only using you!" Orimi said.
Yoshida closed his eyes and crossed his arms. "Lilith told us something interesting if you recall. Humans have always mistreated monsters. Using them for their own selfish desires and killing them when they no longer need them. I don't want you to fall for the same trap. I want monsters to be free and if the end of humanity is the way to go then so be it. Now it's time to make a choice."
Orimi looked at Yoshida and Bachiko then looked at me.
"It's either the Monsters...or the Humans." Yoshida said then opened his eyes. "One can save you and the other will make you a target."
Orimi looked at us and had a difficult decision to make. She loved her adoptive mother and her friends, but she also unconditionally loved her brother and her monster friends.
"You can't make her choose like that! This is your sister...girlfriend...whatever! You're on the wrong side! I guarantee that." I said then glared at him.
"Quiet human. You aren't a part of this." Yoshida said.
"Actually I am now." I said then put my arm out in front of Orimi. "You won't get in Orimi's head so easily."
"Hisumi.." Orimi looked at me.
Yoshida smirked then began to laugh. He covered an eye then got serious. "Kill her."
A horde of monsters ran towards us and let our their battle cries.
"Brother stop this!" Orimi cried.
I prepared myself then glared at the horde of monsters. Lightning crackled around my body and I dashed towards them, bellowing. I began to strike them down one by one. The monsters couldn't keep up with me and their bodies began falling to the ground one by one. The monsters began to jump me at once and I bellowed loudly then used my Lightning Nova against them and blew them all away. The energy disappeared and I panted softly.
"Who is this woman..? She's talking all of us on.." One monster said.
"She's so strong.." Another commented.
Yoshida looked at me and unsheathed his sword then lightning crackled around his body and he dashed towards me. I was caught off guard then blocked his attack.
"Seems like you also have Lightning Energy..." I said as I was in a blade lock against him.
"I can do more than that!" He said then pushed me away and stomped on the ground. He manipulated my gravity and caused me to float in the air.
I grunted and noticed his black wings. He floated towards me then snapped his fingers and sent me crashing to the ground by making my gravity ten times heavier than the normal gravity. I groaned then was sucked into a void then another void opened in the sky, dropping me onto the ground.
"Brother! Stop! She's not going to survive from that height!" Orimi said, scared.
I tried to use my wings to stop myself in the air, but my gravity was too heavy. I closed my eyes tightly and used my telepathy to call for help from Nagini.
Yoshida looked surprised when the air below me turned into water and I landed in the water gently. The water turned back into air then I landed safely on the ground.
"What the.." Yoshida said then noticed a cross land on the ground.
Nagini landed beside me and her eyes shined. "You dare mess with my beloved lab rat..? I'll make you pay for that.."
Yoshida landed on the ground and looked at Nagini then smirked. "You are the legendary Nagini I've heard much about from Fallan."
Nagini stood up and looked at Yoshida. "And you're the Ultimate Being...Naora speaks so highly of you and here you are...trying to kill her. What a wonderful son you are.."
Yoshida got in his battle stance and glared at Nagini. "I'm doing her a favor."
"Yeah...alright. How about I do you a favor then and just eliminate you here and now." Nagini said then picked up her staff in Origin Mode.
Yoshida bellowed then dashed towards Nagini then was surprised to see his aura disappeared. He heard Nagini's heartbeat and his ears began ringing. He groaned and covered his ears as it began to bleed.
"His powers aren't working.." Bachiko said. "Who is this woman..?"
Nagini stopped amplifying her heartbeat then watched Yoshida fall to his knees. "This isn't even 5% of my true power. You have yet to see what I am truly capable of."
I looked at Nagini and she looked back at me. I looked back at Yoshida and noticed his ears were bleeding, but was healing due to Bachiko using her time manipulation to heal his internal wounds.
"I am Nagini, Ruler of Science...and you will see what I'm truly made of..." Nagini said then snapped her fingers and blew Yoshida away.
Yoshida groaned loudly, crashing into Bachiko then Nagini trapped them beneath a dome of spatial energy.
Nagini warped me and Orimi away, leaving a weakened Yoshida and Bachiko on the ground.
We landed on the ground and I looked at Nagini.
"You're this powerful and we still can't defeat Fallan?" I asked.
"Unfortunately she has the counter to any power except the Key of Totality. Ragnarok can't be countered by anything no matter what even the Ruler of Death dies to it if she is the target if Ragnarok. That's why I'm so keen on destroying the Cores and I've told everyone to fend off the monsters and Fallen while we search for the cores and destroy them." Nagini said.
"Wait just us two?" I asked.
"We are the only two in the world who know where the cores are other than the Overlords themselves. Besides I want you to awaken more of your power." Nagini said.
"I see." I nodded then looked at Orimi. "Go find Naora and the others. Make sure they remain fine."
Orimi nodded and hurried off.
"Alright, Doctor. Let's go destroy the cores." I said.
Nagini opened a portal and we walked into the portal together on the hunt for the cores.
