Romulus was the one who looked utterly confused now. He turned to look behind him and mumbled to himself in disbelief, “What the hell just happened? Did that vampire just… run away? Just like that?”
He scoffed in utter dissatisfaction and kicked the broken shards of glass. “Did I just pull off my best acting skill for nothing?” He threw Vincent’s handkerchief on the floor and spat on it.
“I even went through all the trouble to find those herbs in less than six hours. And I had to be practically invisible when I slipped the herbs into those glasses. All that effort for nothing! It would have been more productive to focus on that fool of a King.” He angrily grumbled and then stormed off from there with a sullen face.
When he was almost close to the bathroom where this all started, he suddenly recalled something that he could still use to frame the vampire.
