William launched a high-speed bolt of Lightning at Perion, hoping to catch the group off guard, but one of the Soul Formation Cultivators launched a Lightning Bolt of their own to deflect it in midair.
The one responsible for defending William's attack moved in front of Perion and crossed his arms, seemingly saying, "If you want him, you'll have to go through me."
Gu Dianlong also moved, teleporting next to William with the Space Element and slashing out with a sword just like his younger version had done in the Gravitas Ruins. His sword was covered in Arrays that amplified his strength tenfold, while also decreasing the weight of the weapon itself so that it was incredibly fast.
William struggled to dodge even with his Reflexes Talent, the blade missing his left shoulder by a mere centimeter. It was the closest anyone had come to actually injuring him, when the other times had been because William was trying to conceal his strength.
