Compared to how bright the roads had been, the alleyway was somewhat dark. After running for a while, she reached a dead end. "Please hand over my bag! There's nothing of value inside!".
Was she really pleading with a thief?
She pulled shaky fingers through her face in panic.
There was a clicking sound behind her, "Then hand over your valuables, pretty lady". Unable to turn, she realized there was a pocket knife at her throat.
"I...I don't have any", her body was still. After being in the demon realm for so long, an ordinary pocket knife was merely a joke.
"Liar! I saw that gown!", he pressed the knife closer. "Just drop all your money and leave".
"I threw all my money away to run after you".
"I ain't believing shit!", deciding to check for himself, his hand went around her body. He grimaced in annoyance after discovering she'd been serious.
