Without much argument, Henry managed to help the injured man to his house which was but a stone's throw away.
Vanessa worried about the fact that he'd still been bleeding although he always healed up faster than anyone.
"Ughh! Not on the bed!", Henry slapped his forehead when Vanessa led the injured man to his neat bed.
"Don't worry, I'll wash the sheets!", she looked down at his face... This was the first time he'd seemed to need her help.
He was breathing heavily with closed eyes.
"Please boil some water...", she gestured for Henry before leaning closer to Dante's chest. There was no heartbeat although he'd been breathing.
Reluctantly, he left to boil the water.
"Lord Dante?!", she slapped his cheeks lightly. "What happened?!".
With a low cough, his eyes opened to meet Vanessa's big blue eyes. A light smile formed on his lips before he pulled her closer to whisper in her ear. "Why'd you run away, little mouse?".
