Chapter 5 - - Party Time

Jazmin pulls herself together, realizing her mom is speaking to her, "I'll have a gamma get your dress laid out. She'll also help you with your makeup and hair."

Sigh of relief. Her mom is the best, knowing she would struggle. She doesn't put a lot of makeup on, let alone fix her hair up. "I can do that!"

After finishing breakfast, a gamma named Rose is waiting in the room for her. "Good morning Jazmin!"

She smiles politely at her. "Good morning, what are we wearing today!" said a cheerful tone.

"Luna picked out this lovely, satin ice blue dress for you." Her mouth drops open at the sight of the dress.

"It's stunning!" Smoother than butter as she touches the fabric.

Rose helps Jazmin into the dress. It hugs every curve of her body just right. Everything about the dress is beyond remarkable. Glancing at her eyes and back to the dress, she noticed it matched the exact color of her eyes.

"Wow! My mom has outdone herself." Rose smiles, "Yes, she most definitely has."

Next, Rose begins to work on her makeup. She lightly applies foundation and powder with some contouring to enhance her facial features. Mascara and light amount of eyeliner in nude tones. Next, she does the eyebrows to look as natural as possible. When Jazmin glances in the mirror, Jazmin is amazed by the makeup. It's so natural-looking that you wouldn't be able to tell she had makeup on.

"Thank you. The makeup looks spectacular." Hugging her.

"Don't ruin my masterpiece. Sit down so that we can finish up." Rose starts with Jazmin's hair.

Carefully sectioning her hair as she curls it. The curls come out flawless. Could Jazmin take lessons, or needs more practice with it? She can't always rely on others to do it for events. Jazmin becomes determined to learn more about makeup and fixing up her hair. Everyone must see her as a spoiled but loved child all these years.

"Jazmin. Are you almost ready?" Her mom questions.

As Jazmin glances down at her phone to check the time, It's 10:50. She has a few minutes to spare. "Coming, mother." Getting up off the chair, Jazmin grabs her shoes as she races to the door.

"You need to get your shoes on. Let's go." Her mom says, urging her to hurry.

"By the way, you look stunning." She did an excellent job helping Jazmin.

Jazmin wonders if Rose ever wanted to be a hair and makeup artist. As she carefully walks fast as she can to keep up with her mother in hopes of not tripping, only to make a fool of herself. Once they reach the main entrance, Pack members greet them. They gasp at her new appearance. That makes Jazmin feel fuzzy and slightly shy on the inside.

We gather in the living room while waiting for our guests to start arriving. "Our first guests are at the gate," her father announced.

A rush of anxiety hits her hard. Pull yourself together, Jazmin. You got this. 'Maybe our mate will be attending.' Aymara chimes in. 'We will find out once all the guests arrive,' I reply.

We all step outside as SUVs pull up. Countless men, easily 6'3 (ca. 191 cm), shuffle out of the vehicles. Scanning their features, she noticed that most wolves were like beasts. Black and dark brown hair, blue or green eyes.

"Welcome. Please get yourselves acquainted in your requested rooms." As he shakes hands, they introduce themselves.

After about an hour's worth of greeting packs that arrive, we finally make our way back inside while waiting for them to settle in their rooms. Checking the list of attending packs, he notices one, in particular, hasn't arrived.

"Shadow moon pack hasn't arrived." Checking what time it is, his phone rings. "Alpha Phil Speaking." as he answers the call.

"Hello, Alpha Phil, this is Alpha Aston of Shadow moon Pack. I was calling to let you know that we are running late. We should be there within 2 hours," Aston says.

"Alpha Aston, we will be eagerly awaiting your arrival later today. Thank you for checking in." her father says.

My father and Alpha Aston exchanged brief words before her father hung up.

"Good news. All packs have checked in with me. That was the Alpha of Shadow moon pack," he says. Jazmin gave him a questioning look. Why does he seem so happy about that?

Jazmin huffs at the stress of it all. She briskly walks away from the conversation with her father. She tries to get familiar with the guests as she walks around the packhouse. Furthermore, she recalls her Dad saying to be friendly and energetic. These packs are possibly new alliances we could make. He introduced them to her upon their arrival. After meeting each alpha, The Alphas, in return, would introduce their Beta and warriors to her.

Everyone was seemingly polite towards her. Jazmin pulls out her phone, checking the time. It's only 2 pm. Time couldn't move fast enough for her. Exhausted from socializing, Jazmin reminds herself to hang in there. There is one more pack to arrive. Out of nowhere, Claire pops up, headed straight towards Jazmin. Excellent, as If she weren't annoyed. Claire beams brightly with a chipper smile, too late to turn and run.

"There's so many hot alpha's!" She squeals, fanning her face with her hands like she is about to faint. "Keep your voice down!" Narrowing her eyes at Claire.

Claire gives a fake apology frown to appease Jazmin.

"Sorry, I'm just so excited. I heard that we are waiting on another guest?" she questions.

"Yes, Claire, we are waiting on the Shadow moon pack." She gasps as the words leave her mouth.

"No, Way." what does she mean by that? "What is the deal with that pack? First my Dad and now you." why is this pack such a big deal.

"The Alpha of Shadow moon pack, He has the biggest, ruthless pack in Washington State. You haven't heard stories about his pack?"

Not Claire, Jazmin wonders how it is she wasn't aware. Her dad soon has significant explaining to do.

"Why is it that no one told me about this until now?" Claire is shocked at her question.

"Oh, you didn't know that or just didn't know who he was?" she asks.

"Pretty much both! Claire, I wouldn't be so confused if I had known." She shuts her mouth quickly with that.

Giving her another apologetic look, "I apologize for the spoiler alert. You should ask the alpha about it."

Trust me. I have more than enough to question my dad with on this. Jazmin is fuming with fury at this point. She stomps away like a brat, searching for her parents. Where could've they gone already? She finally spots her mom chatting with pack members.

Walking quickly to her mom's side, "Mom, do you have a second?" she asks.

"Sure honey, what is it?" saying as she sends away the omegas.

"I was honestly looking for dad, but maybe you have an answer?" she says, feeling hopeful.

"What is it that you are so worried about, Jazmin?" her mom questions with concern in her voice.

"Well, I was wondering why would Alpha Aston of the Shadow moon pack be attending my birthday party tonight?" a confused look appears on her mother's face.

It seems she wasn't aware he would be coming either.

"Sweetie, I wasn't part of what packs got invited. I'm afraid you have to ask your dad." Jazmin had figured as much.

"I understand. Thanks anyway, mom," she says as she pulls her mom into a hug. Jazmin heads off to search for her father. She finds him among a group of what look to be other Alphas.

Her father excuses himself from the conversation soon as Jazmin clears her throat in an attempt to get his attention.

"Excuse me, gentlemen, my daughter needs me for something." Several alphas congratulate her and wish her a happy birthday yet again. Her dad leads the way to his office to have a private conversation with his daughter.

As they reach the office, fear strikes Jazmin as she soon realizes that the Alpha of Shadow moon pack could be her mate.

"Dad, why is the most ruthless pack attending my birthday party?" He freezes at her words.

Offering a slight smile, he places his hand on her shoulder, "Honey, we require allies, and as you need to find your true mate."

She questions if her dad is hopeful that Alpha Aston is her true mate. "Do you think Alpha Aston could be my one true mate, dad?" He rubs his face so that he isn't denying or accepting the truth of her intentions, instead of trying to avoid it.

"You think he could be, don't you," she asks, sterner. "There is an excellent possibility," he admits. She can't believe what he just told her.

In shock by the words, "You can't seriously think that," She can't digest the chance of that being true.
