It wasn't until Michael was completely out of my sight that I noticed an unwelcome stare from behind me. Although I looked back as if I hadn't noticed anything, I decided to ignore Joanna and head back to my room. I didn't want to sit at the same table as Joanna.
But Joanna just happened to be in my way.
I looked up at her. Joanna still had that annoying smile on her face. "Your relationship seems to be very good. Cecily, you're really cute in front of Michael."
What was she hinting at?
I didn't want to talk to her, but she didn't intend to make way for me.
"I'm going back to my room," I said stiffly.
"I know I made you unhappy yesterday. I apologize to you again. Please forgive me, okay? But I really don't mean any harm. I like your personality. Let's forget about yesterday. Let's just pretend that we just met today, okay?" The smile on Joanna's face looked even more sincere.
It even made me feel a little disrespectful.
