Annalise did exactly as she was told, she allowed her powers to come to the surface and follow the direction of Valerius' command.
"Stars!"
Valerius suddenly pulled away, leaving her hanging there in the middle and totally confused about what just happened that made him pull away so suddenly. Her question was soon answered as the dark lord made her turn around to face him before he spoke.
"Annalise, do you know how dangerous it is to let someone else have control over your powers? Your powers... they aren't something normal. You can't repeat such a mistake..."
"I know." Annalise silenced him as she suddenly spoke up in her defense. "I know, Valerius. I'm very much aware of how unusual my powers are, that I'm not someone normal with Seelie bloodline like the rest of the people of my empire, and I'm also aware that I should never ever let anyone have control over my powers because it can turn out to be my biggest mistake."
