A loud gasp left Annalise's lips as her eyes flew open and she immediately sat up on the bed. She hurriedly looked at her hand only to find that it was totally fine and not a single wound or prick could be seen anywhere on either of her palms. Assessing herself, it seemed like what she just experienced was nothing but a dream. However, she couldn't stop thinking about how real everything seemed just a couple of moments ago.
"Are you alright, Annalise?" The soft voice that pulled her out of her shock belonged to none other than Valerius.
Annalise turned to look at the man who had also moved to a sitting position next to her, a serious and worried look was decorating his handsome morning face with his long disheveled silver hair falling over his broad shoulders.
