"What are we doing here?" Annalise couldn't hold back from asking that question as she allowed Kenric to pull her inside one of the many rooms on the second floor of the castle.
After her training session with Valerius, she spent quality time in the pool room as she took a long hot bath to get her body feel refreshed and more alive after the hours-long training. Then she had dinner with everyone and just as she was ready to slip inside her bedroom to finally catch some rest, she found Kenric waiting for her with some sort of weird idea in his mind that he hadn't shared with her yet.
The way his eyes sparkled with hope and excitement when he asked her whether she could accompany him or not, she couldn't make herself say no. Besides, there was no denying that she would rather have enjoyed her time in his company instead of sleeping alone in her bed.
