Annalise was almost shouting by the end of her sentence all the while she glared at Esme. His questions were now getting out of her control and she was feeling like he was making her confess something she had no clue about.
At some point, she had even climbed down from the bed, and now, she was standing in the middle of the room like a completely clueless person as she had no idea what to do next. Of course, she couldn't leave as she still hadn't found out anything about the Portal Hall incidents as they had completely taken a different path from there.
Instead of reacting shocked about her outburst, Esme remained calm, too calm for Annalise's comfort. He too stood up from his seat and headed in her direction with long strides. Once he was standing right in front of her, he placed one of his hands on her shoulder, and she felt some sort of warm soothing energy passing through his fingers into her body.
