As the crackling fire cast dancing shadows across the library, Annalise took a deep breath and began to share the secrets she had kept hidden for so long. Damien leaned closer, eager to hear what she had to say.
Annalise: "Damien, I need to tell you something, actually all three of you..."
She didn't even get to finish the sentence before the library door opened and Kenric stepped inside with his usual charming smile playing on his lips.
"Did you just mention me?" He asked while shifting his gaze between Annalise and Damien.
Annalise and Damien exchanged a glance before the former smiled and just shook her head before motioning Kenric to settle down on one of the empty seats next to her.
Kenric didn't need to be told twice as he immediately settled down next to Annalise and his gaze also landed on the old-looking book and the diary as Damien passed them over to Annalise. "What are these?" He inquired curiously.
