Midnight Realm

The battle had started between the Unseelie army and the Darklings with the arrival of Shadowlords who took down all the magical arrays set up by the Midnight Queen.
While the Unseelies had the upper hand in the battle at the beginning, it was no longer the same as the Shadowlords were also accompanied by the deadly dark energy that was devouring everything and everyone that came in its path.
"We need to stop the dark energy."
"We can't." The Queen broke the sad news to her people and watched as realization dawned over the Unseelies - they could kill the Draklings and the Shadowlords, but there was no stopping the Dark energy.
"Was it a lost battle from the very start, Your Majesty?" A young Unseelie fae asked as he tried to keep a tight grip on his sword while his eyes were taking in the heart-wrenching sight of the dark energy devouring his fellow soldiers.
