Her words hung heavily in the air as both the Dark energy and Esmeray processed them. She spared a quick look in the direction of the King of Darkness and received a small nod of approval from him.
On the other hand, the Dark energy wasn't convinced at all. "I don't need your offer to take back what's mine. I can destroy this world and still take away light with me."
"Indeed." Annalise kept her calm as she continued negotiating. "You can destroy the world, but you would not be able to reunite with the Light energy if I refused to allow it. Right now, I'm its master and control it."
