"Mother?" Annalise found her mother sitting beside her on the bed when she finally opened her eyes after coming out of her slumber.
Her head ached slightly as she tried to move and a hiss escaped her lips immediately.
"Here, let me help you." Her mother and Sera were immediately there to help her and with a little bit of effort, she finally managed to move into a sitting position.
"How are you feeling now?" Her mother asked, worry clearly evident on her face.
Annalise shook her head slightly but immediately regretted the action as pain shot across her temples. The 'I'm fine' that she was initially going to say in reply got changed into - "definitely suffering from a headache, but it's not that severe."
Her mother turned to look at Sera as she spoke, "Go and get a glass of warm milk for your lady."
