Annalise snuggled closer into the arms of the man who was softly stroking her cheek as her head rested against his shoulder while his arm was wrapped around her securely.
"How are you feeling now, Princess?" Damien asked in an unusually soft voice, one that she couldn't even relate to him. If not for her bond, she almost thought that he was someone else.
She found herself smiling softly as the memories of the previous night returned to her. "Perfectly fine." She whispered and realized just how raspy her voice sounded and how dry her throat felt.
She felt something against her lips which she parted on instinct and the next second, a small candy-sized tasteless thing slipped inside her mouth and immediately melted into cool water and slipped down her throat.
