"School is on break at the moment so this means you have a lot of free time. What exactly are you planning to do that would take a lot of your time that you had to quit working because of it? Are you perhaps going somewhere?" Mrs Parker asked out of concern.
Although she had known Joanna for such a short time, she was aware that Joanna had nowhere else to call home apart from her father's house.
And because of this, she couldn't make trips when other girls her age went on holiday.
