"Let me be honest with you, I didn't come here merely because I missed Jocelyn and Rachel but to take revenge on the one who attacked the King at the palace right at his chambers," Joanna cut in abruptly.
With Kayden now awake she knew that no one in the pack could easily pose a threat to him even though she talked about what happened at the palace that night.
"Although the pack and Twipera Kingdom operate separately, I am aware that all of you know the situation at the Kingdom well enough so I won't beat around the bush with you," Joanna began in a stern voice.
"I decided to visit the pack after witnessing the one who harmed the king run into your territory right before my eyes. Yes, it was never my intention to become the Alpha but now that I hold this position, I will use its power to the fullest and make sure that the one who hurt the King pays dearly for his crime," Joanna concluded while clasping her fists.
