"Wait, did I say that?" Joanna implored, pretending not to remember what she said.
"Yes, I heard that too," Rachel and Jocelyn supported as if they could read each other's minds.
"I was trying to say that I would train even harder so that I will become even more powerful. The same applies with you too Jocelyn. You can't afford to slack even the slightest bit since it is very obvious that you were her target," Joanna managed to come up with the perfect lies to save herself this time around.
"Miss Jocelyn was the target?" Carl yelled before Jocelyn could say anything. He moved closer to the centre table the ladies occupied.
"Why would you say that?" Jocelyn asked seriously.
"Damn it! She is not the one," Joanna and Rachel said in unison.
"That is what the attacker said after Joanna's cap came off when she tried to protect me earlier and she was wearing your cloak at that time," Rachel explained calmly.
