"Lady Adrienne, my father instructs Neveah is to get about her duties immediately. There can be no further delay, I will have to send her away now." Davina interrupted with a bow before the tense situation escalated any further.
"Why the hurry? We have not come to harm her, only to get acquainted with the new attendant of Lord Xenon."
"As attendant to a member of the King's guard, even we noble born have to be respectful to you. How can we hold contrary intentions?" Lady Adrienne asked, passing glances at her two companions for support.
"My lady, it is unwise to keep Lord Xenon waiting. Neither you nor I can afford the consequences." Davina insisted.
Lady Adrienne frowned slightly, her beautiful features scrunching up before she shrugged casually.
