"You do not have to go with me. I am not stirring any trouble, I'm just going over to check on my daughter." Kaideon said, passing Jian an annoyed glare as they stood in the ascending room.
Jian had tried time and time again to convince Kaideon that Neveah was in good hands and he could just go see her the next day rather than at such a late hour but Kaideon was adamant.
"I see the tension between you and Menarx clearly. " Jian began, glancing over at Kaideon with a pointed look.
"So no, from where I'm standing, I find that half hearted assurance of yours really hard to believe, especially considering how well I know you Kaideon."
"So regardless of if you intend to stir trouble or not, I do not trust to have you and Menarx alone and unsupervised for even a moment... I would rather have my keep remain in one piece." Jian replied in a deadpan tone.
