Menarx walked into his quarters, his eyes first settled on his bed that was noticeably empty.
Menarx heart dropped, cold terror creeping up on him.
There was no one else in the room but Estelle who paced worriedly and as she noticed Menarx's arrival, she turned to him, her eyes wide and wary.
"Where is she?" Menarx asked, his tone chilling cold.
"I... Veah woke up not long after you left. She didn't say where she was going..." Estelle reported nervously.
"And you let her go by herself? In her condition?" Menarx demanded.
"She did not wish to be followed... she ordered me to stay back and convey the same to you." Estelle relayed grimly.
Menarx sucked in a sharp breath breath at Estelle's words, his heart sinking down even deeper than it had when he stepped into the room.
