Chapter 15 - Still young to be shackled to this lifestyle

I yawn after a long time of watching the boring movie without understanding anything from it.

Aside from the fact the main character *I think the man in blue should be the protagonist* happened to skate through a shy scrapper, I learned nothing else from the movie.

Standing, I stretch my taut muscles and made to leave.

Sleeping right now is far better than watching this movie.

Hell, I'll take carrying a wailing kid to watching this movie. The movie is hair-pulling worthy.

"Where are you going to?" He asked in that gruff, indifferent voice he makes use of when talking to me.

"To take a nap." I yawn once more to emphasize my point.

"Are you through with the movie?"

"I would rather not watch again." I give the movie that's still playing a look of disgust.

Who in this world will want to watch a movie they don't understand?

Not I,

I tell you.

I won't waste my entire day watching a movie my life is better than.

Presently, I'll choose to watch a movie showcasing my daily life than watch this movie where the protagonist is always putting on the same colour suit *who knows, that might be his only one.*

"You're telling me you're not watching the movie again?"

Are you deaf? That was what I said minutes ago, why must you ask such questions again? Are yours as the rumours said?

This was what I wanted to ask, but I ended up nodding like the submissive husband I am.

"Yeah." I look down, "I want to take a nap. The movie is making me feel sleepy."

"But you were the one who requested the movie."

" I did?" I ask confused as I racked my brain to check for the time I requested for the movie.

Last I checked, he was the one who chose that channel.

"You might not have said you liked the channel, but your eyes sparkled when I passed it."

"My eyes?"

"What was I thinking? Of course, you're a fool. I should have known better, but I thought to join you to watch the movies you watch daily."

If I had thought we were finally having a long conversation, I was out of that.

"A fool?" I scoff at his words, "you dare call me a fool when you're married to me." With tears streaming down my face, I rush towards my room, half expecting him to run after me as I see in the movies.

But nothing of that sort happened.

I ran to my room, flopped on the bed, and cried my poor heart out, but my so-called husband made no appearance at all.

Not even a footstep can be heard. The entire place was silent, save for my sniffing and sobbing.

Why was I this unlucky?

Why did fate decide to play with my poor heart?

What did I do to deserve a life like this?

Throughout the week, I refused to make an appearance in the sitting room at the same time my stupid husband happened to be there.

I don't see any reason why I need to be in the same place as the male that called me a fool.

After all, a fool shouldn't be seen in the same place as re knowledgeable.

He called me a fool, and like a fool, I must do everything in my ability to make sure our parts don't cross.

Presently, we're two people who happened to be joined by the law, living in the same place, under the same roof.

"Today's suit is far better than last week's." I run a hand through the beautiful oxblood coloured suit. "This is beyond beautiful."

"I know you will love it!" She squealed happily, "likewise this mask!" She brought out another butterfly mask, one that's a bit coloured like the suit is to wear today.

"This is cute!" I take the mask from her.

"I know you'll like it."

"Like it? I love it!"

This is by far the most beautiful mask I've ever seen. None of the masks I've seen can be compared to this one.

Marli helped me put on the suit. Giving me the mask, she helped me escape the house, just like we did last week.

And none of the stupid, clueless guards Sly placed here saw us leave.

"Make sure you have enough fun for the two of us." She winked, "I am counting on hearing more juicy news when you return."

"Must there be juicy news every day?" I roll my eyes at her.

"Of course!" She gives me a look," don't tell me you've forgotten about the owner of the mansion?" She wiggles her brows suggestively.

" Stop that," I look down in embarrassment, my way of preventing her from seeing the blush on my cheeks.

"Is he blushing?" Marli lightly touched my cheeks.

"Blushing my foot!" I frown at her, "if you have nothing to do, just go back there, I have somewhere else to be."

"And he's blushing."

" Why should I blush when you're talking about another man? If you've forgotten, dear, I'm a married man."

" Married my foot. You're still too young to be shackled with someone like Sly.

He might be my boss, but I'm in no way supporting the way he's treating you. You deserve so much better than this. You deserve to be loved, and treated like a rare gem, and not like a necessary responsibility." She placed her hand on my shoulder, "you're still a young adult. You deserve to know what love is."

Her words touched me. Of a truth, I'm still too young to be shackled to him.

As an almost nineteen-year-old boy, I'm supposed to be having the time of my life with my friends, and not living in a mansion, alone.

" Bye love." She all but pushed me towards the cab.

Waving at her, I enter the waiting cab.

" Have some fun. Make sure you attract some males!"
