"Okay," Lucy sighed loudly, before rubbing her hands on her face, and then looking at Leah again. "Are you sure?"
"Am I sure?!" Leah whispered furiously. She was standing whereas Lucy was sitting on the bed. "My mother is literally outside, outside in the living room when today was my last exam. She knew it and she is here, why? I did not ask her to come, you did not ask her to come. She did not tell us that she was coming, why is she here? And she does not even have a reason!"
It was not unlike you for her mother to visit without a reason, but there had to be something. Also the fact that there was some kind of awkwardness between her and her mother in the kitchen when she had asked about it. Why not go and visit her middle child when she had not met him for a few months? Why would you just come to London to meet Leah alone?
"Yes, but," Lucy said, " you know, she is your mother. She is going to come to visit you."
