Chereads / The Bad Boy's Promise / Chapter 5 - Kidnapped - III

Chapter 5 - Kidnapped - III

Victoria had no idea how long they had been here for. Somehow the watch that she had previously seen the time in, had fallen in the hallway and that was what she asked you to because she could not find it here.

Also, the fact that this cell had no window like hers did before.

She continued to press on the wound, time in again checking if the blood had finally stopped or not. The last time she checked, it finally had.

"No more pressing?"

She jumped slightly and moved away from the boy. "You're awake?"

Victoria heard him shift. "Couldn't sleep. The pain."

Ah, that.

"I always have painkillers in my bag but.." she shrugged. She didn't have the bag.

Her bag was still in the classroom and she hoped that the cleaners who would come in after hours of the school would take notice of it. She hoped that they would tell someone.

Would her mother have noticed it by now? It must be the night by now so someone had to come home and notice that she was not present like she usually would be.

The door slammed open, making Victoria jump again. The light coming from outside the door highlighted the frame of the man and Victoria felt the urge to crawl away from him.

"Time, is it?" The boy from behind her and Victoria did not look away from the man standing at the door.

"You bet."

Her eyes watched in horror as the huge man picked up the boy and tossed him on his shoulder before taking him outside and closing the door with equal force as he had opened it.

That left her alone in the darkness and in the fear of her being the next person.

****

She had almost fallen asleep against the wall when the door opened and someone was thrown in.

Gulping down her fear, she moved closer to the body and within a second realized that it was him.

"Hey," she croaked out, "what did you do to you?" They had kidnapped her too, meaning she had to be prepared for whatever they were going to do with her.

He coughed slightly before getting up and to her surprise, she could not see the outline of the nice anymore. The darkness was not supporting her vision much but she knew it was not there.

He went ahead and settled into the corner that she had previously found him in.

Victoria moved to the other end of the wall. "Are you alright?"

He didn't reply.

Why would he not reply? They were both kidnapped and they were supposed to help each other. Otherwise, how would they get out? Unless…

Victoria gasped, "did they cut out your tongue?" he didn't reply and Victoria continued, "I don't know why they would cut out your tongue. Organs can be sold at a high price but tongue?"

"Shut up! Shut the fuck up!" He yelled and she flinched back. "I am in pain and I don't want to hear your fucking voice, alright?"

She nodded hurriedly.

"Use your fucking words! Does it look like I can see you?"

"Yes," she whispered, "won't talk now."

Victoria shifted to the side and lead against the wall from the side as well. She was not going to talk now.

The door opened a crack and they threw Something at them making her duck her head as the thing banged against the wall that she was leaning her back on.

"Drink up." She heard a manly voice before the door was closed again and they were left in the darkness.

Whatever they had thrown kept on shuffling around, so she reached the one that was nearest to her and pick it up.

She realized the feel of the plastic in her hands, it was a water bottle.

"Oh thank you, god," she whispered before attempting to open the bottle when she realized that the other bottle was also near her feet.

He had told her to not talk, hadn't he?

But she was also not a person to take away the opportunities from someone. Not exactly a follower of God, Victoria was fearful of the word karma. So, she took the bottle that was lying near her feet and pushed it in the other direction in the room where she knew he was laying.

Now, she took a sip, then another, and then another. She was going to prolong this water bottle until she received a new one. God knew when they would provide them with food and until then she had just this bottle of water.

She turned her head to his side. Why had he not opened his bottle of water? It was just the two of them in a closed, small space of a room and she would be able to hear if he opened the bottle. Why hadn't he?

Had he fainted again?

Slowly, as silently as possible she moved closer to him. Just when she could see the outline of his body, she touched his hand, "hey?"

When he did not reply, did not even move, Victoria touched his hand again before realizing something. His hand was unbelievably hot.

That was bad.
