"The werewolves have something that I need," Matthew said.
She debated for a few seconds as she wondered if he would tell her anything. Then she asked."What is it?"
"Before I was trapped in that hell hole, I left a few of my things to someone that I once trusted. Over the years, when the humans decided to kill each other, the things were given to a few other people." Matthew made a deliberate pause. "Rather, it was given to the ones who helped the humans win their war."
Ava furrowed her brows.
"Is this going to help Matthew's body?"
"You really like this body, don't you?"
Ava glared at him, her face hot. It felt like he just caught her doing something naughty. "Is this going to help you hide what you are?" she asked.
"Who knows?"
