"Matthew!" Ava growled, furious. She wanted to take him down yet she couldn't even land a hit! Matthew was huge and surprisingly agile! It was that or… she was just too weak against him. Or fucking both!
She glared at him.
"If you break the barrier, you can listen to what she has to say."
"I really don't appreciate you doing this."
"I have no choice."
"You are a lunatic."
"Only when it comes to you," he beamed. This only made Ava more irritated. She kicked and used her magick but again, Matthew would just avoid them. Moreover, she realized something. Her magick seemed weaker inside this barrier.
As if sensing her thoughts Matthew said.
"The barrier is still consuming your magick. You have to break it for it to stop."
"Matthew, I am not joking. Let me out of here."
"Only if you promise not to believe everything that she has to say."
