"We can't do that," Patriarch de Cene uttered. He looked at the elder of the de Cene family from near the fireplace where he had been standing since earlier. He had been staring at the fire for a few hours now. Something about it calm his raging nerves. Matthew should have lost his mind after that attack.
But not only did he not react, he just acted as if everything is normal. What is going on here?
