"The King isn't here yet," old patriarch de Cene snorted.
"Patriarch of the de Cene family. Did you perhaps expect him to arrive before you?"
Patriarch de Cene frowned at the King's well know supporter, the witch, Erenes. She might not be as strong as Ulva but this woman was considered one of the strongest witches in this plane. Still, he wasn't able to protect the prince that she was protecting.
"I don't remember talking to you… Erenes."
"I thought you were talking to me. Considering no one else would dare talk to you."
The patriarch's face turned even darker as he narrowed his eye at the witch. Actually, she was right. Since he arrived, not one of the other patriarchs talked to him aside from the superficial greetings that involve short 'how are you'. After just a few minutes, they would then tell him that they needed to do something else, that they have to talk to their wives or kids.
They immediately looked for a reason to avoid him.
