"How could you do this!?" the Shaman had a dark look on his face as he stared at Matthew. "How could you bring her into this place knowing that the legend might be true!"
Matthew said nothing.
"A witch— she might become one of the thousands of witches that were sacrificed to create this plane!" the older man continued. He stared at Matthew's calm facade. "You are out of your mind! She might be strong but how could she even fight against a dark witch from another realm? That was a dark magician who dared to sacrifice the souls of witches!"
"Didn't you just say it was a legend?" Matthew countered.
"Legends are legends for a reason,' the Shaman gave him a dirty look. "If something happened to her— "
"Nothing will happen to her."
"You seemed so sure about it."
"Because I believe in her."
"How absurd. A dark magician isn't as simple as the witches from Earth."
"Oh, I know," Matthew smiled. "Trust me… I know."
