"Zhervos from Calindra, for the king of the undead," Zhervos said to the vampire guarding the gates of Drarun.
It was obvious they hated being called the undead, but then calling them empires always had a way of asking them even more than being undead. So the warrior patiently waited as the vampires looked at him, studying him for signs of danger, which he didn't even pose.
Zhervos had come like the true messenger he was. Having crossed every bit of the realm he knew how to deal with the different factions, which could also explain why the vampires knew him and had figured that he was really here on official duty.
"You may come in," the warrior at the gates said, before telling him to wait a moment. He was probably officiating the papers and taking his copy, but that didn't even stress Zhervos out like the shit in his mind.
