The smashing object on the floor ignited the curiosity of grandma Li who just entered the living room; to check out the source of the crash, she, with her strong heartbeat, scurried to the corridor that split the living room from the entrance.
"Luna, what's that?" In her hard effort, she was limping toward Luna who was soothing her anxious friend.
"Grandma…, it's just"
"Please forgive me, Madam. I-I didn't do it on purpose." Yi Chen trembled in her defense of herself.
Grandma Li, while observing the jar shards, stumbled in shock with her palm on her lips. "This is the gift I received from my husband on our 10th wedding anniversary. How could you be so reckless?" Her eyes of anger went to Yi Chen who didn't even dare to elevate her chin; her teary eyes submissively plopped to the floor.
Luna, noticing grandma Li not in her fit condition, assisted her to stand to her feet properly. "Grandma…,let me take you to your room."
