Talisa took Michael's hand and they returned to the living room. Talisa sat on the sofa and Michael sat beside her.
"You think Darius has found me?" Talisa asked, feigning fear. Her eyes widened as she said that. Inwardly, Talisa was nervous because she was afraid that Michael would find out about her lie. Talisa had never been in this situation before. She lied to two men at once with different lies. This made Talisa's heart uneasy.
"If he already found you, why didn't he come in and take you by force? So I guess maybe I was wrong," Michael said, touching his chin. He always did that when he was thinking.
Talisa was silent. She didn't know what to say now for fear of raising suspicion. Michael looked at Talisa who was quiet and thought that Talisa was still angry with him.
"I'm sorry, Talisa. I didn't mean to accuse you of anything," Michael said.
