She took a step outside, and her mouth fell open in shock as she was startled by the sounds of cheering and ovation. She turned around just in time to see her friends; Yesiba and Emelle coming towards her with huge smiles on their faces.
"Gina, you did it!" Yesiba yelled out while embracing her in a bear hug.
Gina enquired in a bewildered tone, "Did what?"
"You passed the semi final, right?" Emelle replied, grinning widely. "We just saw the announcement on the news."
"Yes, how could you didn't tell us your competition schedule," Yesiba complained.
"I just didn't want to bother you, guys. I know y'all were busy."
"At least tell us though."
"Alright, I'm sorry for that."
"It's okay."
"But seriously, Gina, this is huge!" Emelle exclaimed. "You're going to the finals! You're going to be a star!"
