"Yes sir! No worries, we'll crack this case in a jiffy and hopefully reunite the victims with their families," Hitono declared confidently, giving a snappy salute. The Chief Officer nodded approvingly before striding away.
"I just hope those poor souls are still alive," Ken sighed, his tone tinged with a touch of despondency. Hitono shot him a disapproving glare.
"Don't be such a downer, Ken!" she exclaimed, delivering a solid knock on his noggin. "Let's keep our spirits up and believe they're alive." She placed her hands on her hips, adopting a determined stance.
"Well, if you insist," Ken sighed, gently massaging his throbbing head.
"Quit the chit-chat and get a move on! You two are making enough noise to wake the dead. I've got to assign tasks for the week," bellowed the Chief Officer, prompting Ken and Hitono to hastily make their exit from the building.
