Chapter 7
Jamie is escorted by the guards exiting the restaurant. Once in his life never been under this kind of treatment. As Gongyun, he was capable of taking care of himself. The misfortune and lowering his guard by a person he thought was fond of him caused his demise. He was careless in letting the delivery man come inside his place.
He thought he knew him as a naive guy who delivers to their place. He tried to befriend him after meeting him multiple times. Mostly to his schedule, many places like hotels, restaurants, and other places he thought of as normal. The guy who told him a different identity.
So pathetic of him to make the guy clown of his life. No single clue that the guy was stalking him. Gongyun thought he was a hard-working boy who was only (coincidentally) at the same place as him. He was also the one who greeted the guy approving of his hard work to earn money. Like a fool who believes the lies.
Maybe he was barely cared, too focused on his achievement, and too proud of himself that no one will dare to cross the line.
It was late when he realized. Lost the life he loves so much and shifts to the life that was so unfortunate. Jamie needs Gongyun's personality. Someone who knows his strength and uses it to his advantage. He needs someone who could accept his whole being and try to make a difference. Becoming a legend as he did before is easy. However, Jamie is not like that. The place where he was had so many challenges bringing him down. It won't be easy.
So the new Jamie needs to plan his life. His next moves. His intention and pride will increase his confidence to be acknowledged. Not someone useless. Not the inferior Kim Min Jamie who accepted leftovers. He will pave the way! And the war will start in a few minutes when he meets the person who called for this guard to get him.
(He silently cursed because he feels useless having too many guards.)
The car stopped at a white house. (No scratch that, a very huge mansion) The security is tight and one needs to see the leader before they let them enter. Jamie was seated in the back seat, fully aware of the main mansion. There is a huge dragon figure (signified as a crest of the Kim Empire) with water coming out of its mouth and serving as a fountain in the center.
No guards were waiting for him, an insult to one of the masters in Kim's. He snorted when one guard opened a door for him. He walks with his head held high. Not bothering to thank the loser who opened the door for him.
The leader bows his head before telling him to follow him ahead. They went inside, and not once did he touch the door. He let them serve him like he was special. Someone who also had the right to control. He smirks while some of the servants peek his way, too awe to react to the changes of him physically.
The old Jamie will be shivering right now, He is sure that this guard is taking him to the mafia's boss's office. His stepfather.
They stop at the big two doors. The Nara hardwood engraves the crest of a massive dragon. He knocked three times before opening it.
The first thing that Jamie notices is the plain black and white huge room. There is a throne at the center, with a massive table that also has a dragon on the side. The temperature is cold while the lightning is rather too bright for his taste.
There is a raven sofa with also a glass table at the center, just the right place for any visitors. The throne is above, giving them the illusion of being judged by the King himself. It was a weird feeling yet Jamie isn't scared. He was confident and slightly irritated that he was not the one who was at the top. Tch. Calm down self.
The door opened just as he was about to sit. The leader guard cannot enter the King's place without permission. He walks to the center while the hidden door opens, waiting for the man to enter and greet him.
The place suddenly becomes black and white.
