Rather than engaging in a grand and lively activity, they opted for a more tranquil setting—a wide expanse of verdant fields where they formed a close-knit circle. Damien instructed a servant to fetch a bottle of wine he had brought from the palace, intending to share it with his companions.

As he poured the final glass for Édouard, Damien proposed, "Let's indulge in this until we drift off to sleep."

Édouard playfully commented, "You truly can't resist the allure of alcohol or wine," and the quartet raised their glasses in a toast.

"I've actually reduced my drinking significantly," Damien disclosed. "It's been two weeks since I last indulged," he added, gesturing for Édouard to take the first sip. Only after Édouard had taken a sip did the other three join in the drinking. 

"We used to drink during the wartime, especially during the winter," Rainard told Damien.
