1year later...
From one corridor to another, he finally arrived at the nun's office. Opening the door carefully he stepped in slowly and all eyes focused on him.
"Hubert, good you're here. Come here."
He went to stand beside her but kept a good distance. He landed his eyes on the couple in front of him who showcased wild elegance and were an epitome of beauty. He could not break eye contact with them due to their fascinating looks.
The woman looked like she was in her early twenties and the man, early thirties. She had black eyes similar to her husband's, her orange brown hair was bewitching like her looks while her husband had strawberry blonde hair.
"Meet Mr and Mrs Ferdinard."
The nun introduced him to them happily. Hubert narrowed his eyes, knowing what the nun was up to. And just as he expected...
"They are here to adopt you."
He put on a calm expression as he tried to read the couple, they were very strange and he felt it. Before they could say a word, he spoke.
"Am not stopping this, but am not leaving without my soulmate." He blinked innocently and the nun glared at him, from his side eyes he saw it.
Focusing her attention back at the couple, she laughed nervously.
"Don't mind the boy, he just happened to have a very close best friend..."
"Can we meet her?" The woman interrupted innocently with a harmless smile. The nun had a blank expression before calling for Valeria.
After some minutes, Valeria came in nervously, greeting the couple she stood close to Hubert.
"She has an enchanting beauty, now I see why the boy insisted," commented the man as he kept staring at Valeria which Hubert didn't like.
"Yes she does hun." Agreed his wife.
"So what do you say?" He faced his wife questioningly.
"I think two is a brilliant idea." His wife agreed quickly as they made eye contact, as if exchanging unspoken words through them. This didn't pass Hubert's kin observation on them. Giving their answer to the nun, she was thoughtful before asking Hubert and Valeria if they agree to it.
"We agree." Hubert spoke for himself and Valeria, Valeria was elated at the news but remained silent in joy.
"Are you sure you want both?"
The nun tried to be sure, for clarification. The lady nodded happily with a beautiful smile plastered on her face.
"When do you want to take them home?" The nun asked a bit relaxed.
"Now."
"Now?"
The nun's eyes widened before she schooled her features.
"But they have to pack their things and get prepared...why not come next tomorrow." It was not a question, but a must to come another day.
The couple communicated through their eyes for a while and then the lady smiled her usual bright smile.
"Then it's settled, two days is enough."
